Virgin Mobile is a leading no contract cell phone provider who offers the latest phones, unlimited data and text plans, and mind blowing prices when you compare to AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile.
Several months ago we switched our 2 phones from the iPhone 4 on AT&T to the LG Optimus (Android) on Virgin Mobile. Our wireless bill plummeted from over $200 a month to $100 a month. That’s $1200 a year to save or allocate somewhere else. Although we loved the iphones, the LG Optimus is very comparable and in my opinion a smart move. Virgin Mobile uses the Sprint Nationwide Network and we have seen better coverage and less dropped calls that we did on the AT&T network.
The most incredible plan on Virgin Mobile is the 300 minutes a month plan for only $25/month. This plan also INCLUDES unlimited data and unlimited text! It also is inclusive of taxes and surcharges (you only ad sales tax).
The deal is that Virgin Mobile is adjusting their prices on July 20, 2011 and the price of this plan is going up to $35, BUT if you sign up before July 20, you are grandfathered in at the old $25 price. So, it’s time to decide and act!
Virgin Mobile is different that the mainline carriers in that you buy your phone outright without the price being subsidized by the carrier. So, you may pay more for the phone upfront, but you own the phone, are NOT in a contract, and can leave anytime you wish.
Here is a summery of the rest of the virgin mobile plans:
