Over the weekend of April 19-22, we were thrilled to join 20 other Savings.com Dealpros for the 2012 Save Up conference in Los Angeles, CA. Save up ’12 consisted of 3+ days of concentrated training, mainly in preparation of the launch of Savings Nation grocery classes rolling out nationwide this month.

The staff at Savings.com opened their doors and welcomed us to their headquarters. Bringing us all to their home turf gave us Dealpros the chance to meet many of the brilliant staff members at Savings.com. If you’re like me, your favorite place to be is at a friend’s house who makes you feel at home. This was the case at Savings.com. What was theirs was ours. We felt like family.

As we prepare to bring the Savings Nation grocery workshops to Orlando, it was exciting to hear The ladies from Savvy Blogging, who are largely responsible for crafting the curriculum, unveil the awesome workbooks that all of our class participants will receive and to teach all of us one of the first classes. The tip, tricks, and lifestyle changes taught in this class will help families cut 50% off their grocery bills. We couldn’t be more excited about bringing it to Central Florida.

In addition, the Savings team led sessions on PR, media training, fine tuning presentation skills, and we got some appreciated insight into what motivates the leadership team at Savings.com.  We ended the weekend together in a “round table” disscussion with the Savings team and the other DealPros sharing information and ideas with each other. This was one of my favorite times.

To top off a great weekend of learning, meeting new friends, and networking with old ones, our number was drawn and we won a huge prize from Bowflex, one of the awesome sponsors that made Save up ’12 possible!
